YouVisit is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics, responsible for supporting informed business decision-making and fostering a data-driven culture across the entire organization. You will have the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on all aspects of our modern data stack by architecting and building new data solutions, powering our analytics engine, as well as shaping the future of our data products as we scale. We are looking for a unique candidate eager to continue to learn and grow into a more senior role as rapidly as we are!  This position is a remote.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Leadership, Product, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Client Success, and Studios teams to provide analytical support and assist these business units with their data needs.
  • Empower teams in their strategic and operational decision-making by uncovering and delivering timely insights, scheduled or ad-hoc reporting, and conducting rigorous data analysis.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather data requirements and build new self-serve solutions including reports and data visualizations.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track departmental and company performance.
  • Work with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and members of the Development and Product teams on the continuous evolution of our data platforms and execution against the product roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s data models, central data warehouse, and contribute to our data pipelines.
  • Maintain our data analytics infrastructure and documentation, ensuring up-time and overall data quality.
  • Write clean, efficient, readable, maintainable, and scalable SQL as part of your daily tasks and contributions to our codebase.
  • Be a champion for data by training and mentoring other business users!

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An inquisitive and analytical mindset
  • 2+ years of experience working in an analytical role
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and analytic databases
  • Strong background in relational data modeling and data analysis
  • Experience with BI reporting platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or others
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to be a self-starter, while working independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and the quality of your work
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights

To be MAX(successful) in this role, you have the following assets:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Finance, Physical Sciences or other quantitative fields
  • Experience with Salesforce.com reporting
  • Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) business and valuation metrics
  • Programming and scripting skills for data science in Python or R
  • Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
  • Experience in ETL, data pipelining, and related workflow management systems such as Apache Airflow or Luigi
  • Experience working with NoSQL data stores
  • Experience working with Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Kinesis, Kafka, Elasticsearch
  • Experience with Google Analytics or other web analytics tools
